  DROWNING HEART


    My desperate heart seeks

    The loneliness of our time

    The space in between your smile

    A shattered moment of forgotten times

   
    All the riches and talents I possess

    I’ll cast into the fire of hindsight

    In case the future


    Falls into that pit

    Don’t let this be our last

    The intensity of our love

    Measured by the escape you make


    Let the hourglass fill with my tears

    Forever alone will be my pain

    Leaving me now a painful shame

    The hurt of my broken heart


    When you depart

    A drowning heart
